Letter from the New York Committee of Fifty-One to the Boston Committee of Correspondence; May 23, 1774

10 days after the circular letter of the Boston Committee, the New York Committee replies to them. They state that they want to help Boston for they are such a respectable colony, but the New York Committee citizens got together and decided that they cannot make a decision. They believe that they need to have an assembly of all the sister colonies to make one decision as a whole. There request is that Boston Committee of Correspondence replies and grants their request to for a large committee of all the colonies.
